just another extraordinary NSTP period

2-hour field trip sa National Museum – Museum of the Filipino People. Pero hindi ‘yun ang highlight na araw kong ‘to.

Antok na antok talaga ako kasi nagpuyat ako kagabi. Kaya habang hinihintay ‘yung resource speaker para sa NSTP namin, umidlip muna ako. Pagdating ng resource speaker, ayun, gising-gising. ‘Yung topic, Political Economy of Underdevelopment. Basically, mga isyu sa lipunan. Kaya medyo nabuhayan ako makinig. Eto ‘yung mga tinalakay niya: US imperialism, social stratification, coastal poverty, physical and structural violence, lapida (liberalization, privatization, at deregulation), informal settlers, marketization of education, bureaucrat capitalism, iron triangle, bureaupathology, extrajudicial killings, cultural imperialism, ethnocide, sexism, food and poverty pornography, profit over planet, alien invasive species, banana republic, monoculture, plant imperialism, at climate death. Oo, lahat ‘yan! All in just 3 hours! Hashtag medyo bitin pero well-explained ang bawat concept.

Higit pa sa mga binanggit ko, binigyang-diin niya ‘yung katotohanang hindi alintana sa kurso (BA man o BS) ang pagkamulat, pagkamakamasa, at pagkamakabayan. Lalo na kung iskolar ka ng bayan. Pinaalalahanan niya kami na kapag dumating ang araw na propesyonal na kami, masa ang paglingkuran namin at hindi ang mga mapang-aping nakahihigit.

Solid talaga. Ang dami kong natutunan. Kaya I’m looking forward na marami pa akong matutunan mula sa *kanya.
